Rules of Membership Application
The following rules are in accordance with the Articles of Association of APSI
Qualification for Fellow of the Association requires that the applicant can show and submit a detailed log of a minimum of ten years regular professional instruction work, plus a minimum of fifteen years general shooting experience. Please note that potential Fellows must first complete a minimum of two years as a Member of the Association.
Qualification for Member of the Association requires that the applicant can show and submit a detailed log of a minimum of five years regular professional instruction work, plus a minimum of seven years general shooting experience.
Qualification as an Associate requires that the applicant can show and submit a detailed log of minimum of three years regular professional instruction work, plus a minimum of five years general shooting experience.
Each applicant must be proposed by two current Members or Fellows of the Association, or a current Committee Member.
Each application will be subject to examination by the Membership Committee.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo and pass the Association’s Safety Examination prior to the grade being confirmed.
Applicants must hold a valid shotgun certificate and/or firearms licence.
