This is a brief summary of my shooting career. My website has a much more detailed Shooting CV at: https://www.robdietzshooting.com/about. I’m a clay target shooter based in Devon, and do the majority of my competition shooting at CPSA Registered events in the South West. I also travel to as many big events in the UK as I can, with the goal of winning at least one major Championship (not happened yet!). I started shooting in March 2012 with lessons at Newnham Park Shooting Ground, Plympton, UK. That was on English Sporting targets, and after a few months I felt ready to start going to other places and shooting some CPSA sompetitions, getting to B class within 9 months or so. In October 2013, I tried DTL and got hooked on trap. 2 months later, I shot my first 100 straight, a 100/298. I'm now on 103 100 straights shot in Registered competition (correct August 2022)! Almost my entire shooting career has been spent learning all I can, and honing my technique on the competition circuit. To date (August 2022), I have won the Devon DTL Championship once, the South West DTL Championship once, and the Devon SB Championship three times. Qualified for the Devon DTL Team seven times, twice as Captain, and been part of the winning Inter-county team six times. Qualified for the Devon Single Barrel Team eight times, once as Captain, and been part of the winning Inter-county team three times. I also have two England DTL Team Caps (2017, 2021), as well as numerous other trophy wins and stand-out performances (such as shooting 100/300, 100/298, 100/300 at Mid Wales Shooting Centre during the 2017 Gamebore DTL Grand Prix).
