This year’s AGM was held at Lady’s Wood Shooting School on March 24. After a very enjoyable lunch the meeting reviewed recent developments in the shooting world, and received reports about the work of the British Shooting Sports Council, of which APSI is a member, ably represented by Chris Miles.

APSI’s president, Sir Bill Wiggin, also explained his dedication and committment to shooting and to APSI.

It was proposed to include an additional category to membership, that of Senior Fellow. Whereas Associate, Member and Fellow are all decided on a time served basis, it was agreed that Senior Fellow should require the endorsement of established Fellows accompanied by a comprehensive CV. The proposal was approved by the meeting, and will be implemented in the coming months. It will also require a modification to the APSI articles, which will be dealt with in due course.

Members were thanked for their attendance and the meeting closed at 3.30pm.

With best wishes to all members for the upcoming year,

Paul Bentley
APSI Chairman
