Joining APSI is a simple process, but before you fill in the membership form please ensure you read the rules of membership below.

Rules of Membership Application

The following rules are in accordance with the Articles of Association of APSI

  1. Qualification for Fellow of the Association requires that the applicant can show a minimum of ten years regular professional instruction work, plus a minimum of fifteen years general shooting experience.

  2. Qualification for Member of the Association requires that the applicant can show a minimum of five years regular professional instruction work, plus a minimum of seven years general shooting experience.

  3. Qualification as an Associate requires that the applicant can show a minimum of three years regular professional instruction work, plus a minimum of five years general shooting experience.

  4. Each applicant must be proposed by two current Members or Fellows of the Association, or a current Committee Member.

  5. Each application will be subject to examination by the Membership Committee.

  6. The successful applicant will be required to undergo and pass the Association's Safety Examination prior to the grade being confirmed.

  7. Applicants must hold a valid shotgun certificate and/or firearms licence.

Once complete please return it to the address shown on the form along with a cheque for £25 to cover your safety test fee.
